Fairmont Hotel on Lake Louise

The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise
Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada

Long known as the Diamond in the Wilderness, the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is an alpine wonderland nestled in the Canadian Rockies between a towering majestic glacier and the clear blue waters of Lake Louise. Founded in 1890 as a log cabin for adventurers and alpinists, the hotel has grown into a 550 room, storybook-castle boasting 36,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 700-seat ballroom.

Views of the lake, the forest and the oft-snowcapped mountains abound from the Chateau. During the summer months, this year-round retreat serves an experience to all who travel there. From guided hikes to canoeing across the lake and multiple ski areas, ice skating, snowshoeing tours and stargazing, this property is an outdoors-loving persons dream and place for special memories. And after an invigorating hike, treat yourself to a massage at the new Aveda Spa.

Want to bring the kids? Sure. The dining room has special fare for little fingers. The concierge would be happy to set up babysitting. During the winter season, there are play areas set up for the children so parents and older siblings can hit the slopes.

Rated among the four best hotels in Canada and one of the top 20 hotels in all of North America by Conde Nast Traveler, 2004, The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise will not disappoint

Travel Tip

"Pack lightly by picking two colors to mix and match throughout your trip. You’ll cut down on luggage and you won’t have to bring a bunch of shoes to match an assortment of colors."

Shore Incentives Teams Up with Kidsave
Raising Money to Make a Difference

Some of our client partners may not be aware of a branch of Shore Incentives that we are particularly proud of, SICares. SICares is where our hearts lie. It’s where we donate our time, expertise  and money to local charities who are out making a difference in the world. Our latest venture has been to team up with Kidsave International for their fundraising Golf Tournament at the Westchester Country Club in New York. Kidsave was kind enough to supply us with the following article about the tournament. We do hope you join us!

Many have dreamed of playing in the PGA alongside Jack Nicklaus, Vijay Singh or Tiger Woods, but seldom get the chance to. Now, with the First Annual Kidsave Golf Tournament in the New York Metro Area, that dream can come closer to reality.  The Kidsave Tournament  will be held October 11th, 2005 at Westchester Country Club in Rye, New York, where would-be Masters players can tee off like the pros.  Overgrown trees line the fairways, and challenging shots that are slightly off-line and tricky greens add to the difficulty of this thoroughbred of a course. The host site of the PGA Tour’s Buick Classic, the West course at Westchester is an outstanding and exclusive track.

Founded in 1997, Kidsave International is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization operating innovative and highly effective programs that find loving families for children in orphanages and foster care.  Unlike adoption agencies – which find children for families – Kidsave’s approach is to find families for children.

Kidsave Golf Tournament

Although this is Kidsave’s inaugural New York tournament, the organization has a successful tournament track record in Los Angeles, with tournament proceeds in excess of $50,000 supporting the Kidsave Summer Miracles program for older children in orphanages and Weekend Miracles program for foster care youth. The New York Tournament will support these programs as well as the Summer Miracles community in the New York Area where orphaned or abandoned children travel each summer from Russia and Colombia to stay  with American host families who provide a family experience and advocate to find them permanent families.

The Kidsave Golf Tournament will be chaired by ABC News Anchor Bob Woodruff and Jim Kilcourse of Amgen Inc. Committee members include soccer player Michael Dow, Michael Byrne, Mike Mooreland and Jennifer Kane and Jada Kavanagh of Shore Incentives. The tournament will be followed by a fundraising dinner.  If you are interested in attending or to learn more, please call Kidsave at (310) 479-5437, visit www.Kidsave.org, or email us
